Since its beginning in 1982, the Sylvia Goyanna Ceramic Studio provides instruments for research in tridimensional shapes moulded out of clay and transformed in permanent material through firing. Besides that, within a broader concept for Ceramics, the Sylvia Goyanna Studio helps the student to develop his individual path, his critical awareness and his insertion in the cultural process. Master Studio in Rio de Janeiro, many of its former students develop nowadays individual languages transmitted in their own studios. Many respected artists who work with other supports, have already worked with ceramics, and interact with the Studio.
